Forex is a 24-hour market with strong session personalities. EdgeFlow tracks the pair, the session, the higher- and lower-timeframe context and the execution and management decisions behind each trade, so a setup can be evaluated in the specific conditions where it actually runs.
Currency-pair context
Majors, crosses and correlated pairs behave differently even under the same technical setup. EdgeFlow treats the instrument as its own dimension so a strategy can be evaluated per pair rather than averaged into a single number that hides real performance gaps.
Asia, London and New York sessions
Session is a first-class field. The same pattern typically produces different R distributions during the London open, the New York AM and the Asia range. Cohort views show performance session by session so decisions like “only trade this setup during London” are backed by numbers instead of preference.
Environment and timeframe context
Higher-, middle- and lower-timeframe state, ranging vs trending conditions and volatility regime are logged with each trade. A setup that averages neutral across environments often turns out to be strong in one specific regime and negative in another.
Execution
Stop placement (structure-based, ATR-based, tick-buffered), entry timeframe and timing quality are separated from the setup definition. Comparing planned and realized R exposes execution drift without pretending the strategy itself is the problem.
Trade management
Break-even behavior, trailing style, partials and early exits are tracked as their own layer. MAE, MFE, capture percent and idealized exit make the cost of a specific management approach visible per setup and per session.
Expectancy in context
Expectancy is computed per cohort. That way the question stops being “is my strategy positive” and becomes “is it positive on EUR/USD during London, with these confluences, over 40 trades.” Small cohorts are flagged so a lucky run is not mistaken for an edge.
Imports and integrations
Trades are entered directly, pasted or imported from CSV exports produced by common platforms. EdgeFlow does not automatically pull from a specific broker.
