If you already pay for Edgewonk, the real question is: why would I switch?
For a lot of traders the honest answer is that they should not. So here is the trader Edgewonk suits best, before a word about EdgeFlow.
What does Edgewonk do better?
Broker import. Edgewonk's site says over 200 brokers are supported, with automated imports. EdgeFlow does not connect to brokers.
Ready-made reports. Edgewonk lists 50+ data reports. If you like to dig through your numbers from many angles, there is a lot to dig through.
The emotional side. Edgewonk says it detects rule breaks and emotional trades. It has a Tiltmeter, psychology tracking, mistake tracking, checklists and a diary. If you are fine for three weeks and then give it back in one bad afternoon, these tools are built for you.
Exit tools. Edgewonk has a trade management optimizer and a performance simulator, and its site talks about testing smarter exit strategies on your own trades.
Price and refund. Edgewonk has one plan, $197 for a year, with a money-back period of fourteen days.
If two of these are what you are shopping for, pick Edgewonk.
Where do the two tools really differ?
Both want to show you what works in your trading. They start from opposite ends.
Edgewonk's site says its Edge Finder scans your journal automatically, and does a performance and mistake scan every Sunday. You log and tag, and the software looks for what stands out.
EdgeFlow starts from what you check. On every trade you tick the things you looked for before you got in, in four parts: the setup, the market around it, how you entered and how you managed the trade. Edge Builder then shows, for each check and each combination of checks, how many trades had it, how many won and the average result. Edge Discovery turns what held up into a written plan. You freeze the plan, and the trades after that are its test.
Why does that difference matter?
Picture a few hundred logged trades with a dozen tags. There are hundreds of ways to slice them, and most slices are small. Some will look great by luck alone, the same way one coin in a big pile lands heads many times in a row.
A scan that finds a strong pocket in your history is a good start. It is a question, not an answer. The pocket only means something if it keeps holding on trades it has not seen. This trap is easy to fall into, and do confluences increase win rate walks through why adding conditions can fool you.
EdgeFlow is built around that step. A plan is frozen and then tested on new trades, and every number shows how many trades sit behind it. When there are too few, it says it is too early to tell rather than handing you a plan built on nine trades.
So who should buy Edgewonk?
Buy Edgewonk if your losses come from your behaviour rather than your strategy. You have a method that works when you follow it, and what hurts you is the revenge trade or the oversized position after a loss.
Buy Edgewonk if you think your entries are fine and your exits leak. Its exit tools answer that question directly.
Buy Edgewonk if you want broker import and one yearly payment.
And one honest case: if you have journaled for a year and nothing has changed, the tool may not be the problem. Journaling but not improving is about that.
Who is EdgeFlow for?
Traders with a few hundred trades and no clear answer on which conditions carry their results. People who would rather define what they check and see it counted than browse fifty reports. Anyone who wants a tool that says when the sample is too small.
It works for any style, because you name your own checks. Levels and candles, moving averages or smart money concepts all work the same way.
What do they cost?
Edgewonk: $197 for a year, as above.
EdgeFlow: one plan, Pro, at $45 a month or $378 a year, VAT included. There is no free plan. You can cancel in one click in Settings.
Questions people ask
Can I bring my Edgewonk trades?
Yes, as a CSV file with a date, the prices and a buy or sell column. Your results come in. Your tags do not, so you tick your checks per trade or start from your next trade.
Can I use both?
Yes. Some traders keep Edgewonk for psychology tracking and use EdgeFlow to count their checks. That is two subscriptions, so only do it if you open both.
Is the Edge Finder useless then?
No. It is a good way to find questions worth asking. The mistake is treating what it finds as settled before new trades confirm it.
Does EdgeFlow import from my broker?
No. You log by hand or import a CSV file, a TopStep export or a MetaTrader 5 history report.
When were these facts checked?
Checked on 11 October 2026, on edgewonk.com and Edgewonk's pricing page. Prices and features change, so check their site before you decide. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
